The lockdown at Mountain Home High School was due to a threat of violence from a member of the Mountain Home community toward a specific student.
The School went into lockdown due to being notified by police about the threat after students and faculty were already in the building.
The school says that they will operate as normal going forward with an increased police presence and that the student who was threatened will not attend school until the situation is resolved.
Police are still searching for the individual that made the threat.

Due to a threat of violence, Mountain Home High School went into lockdown as a precautionary measure Wednesday morning, according to a Facebook post made at 8:36 a.m.
Mountain Home School District says law enforcement is on the scene to assist. The lockdown will be lifted once law enforcement confirms it is safe to do so.
At 12:07 p.m., another Facebook post was made saying the lockdown will continue at the recommendation of law enforcement.
A dismissal plan to release students as the day continues is being worked on.
The district is coordinating with law enforcement to safely release students. The threat was specific to the high school, but due to proximity, the district will coordinate student releases at the junior high as well.
The individual who made the threat is not on campus.
