Officers were called to the 8800 block of Lanier Drive early on Wednesday, Feb. 1 to conduct a welfare check, where they found a dead body, and a homicide investigation was launched by the Montgomery County Department of Police.
It is unclear how the woman died, and police investigators have not released any information regarding the suspect who was taken into custody.
The woman’s body will now be transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
No other information was released by the police, though a formal release is expected to be released as the investigation continues.
