'PETFLIX and Snuggle': MADACC announces Valentine's Day adoption promotion

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission (MADACC) is announcing a new promotion just in time for Valentine's Day.

The 2023 "PETFLIX and Snuggle" adoption promotion is running throughout the month of February.

During this time, you'll be able to name your own adoption fee for select dogs in MADACC's care. 

"You pick the dog; you pick the adoption fee. You go home and enjoy unconditional love forever," MADACC said. "Share your couch, and popcorn (in moderation) and live happily ever after."

MADACC says they currently have more than 55 dogs available for adoption, and dogs that are part of the promotion will have "Petflix" listed as part of their name on the organization's website.

Adopters that live in Milwaukee County will be required to purchase a $12 license, according to MADACC, but there are no geographical restrictions.

And if you can't adopt but do have some photoshop skills, MADACC is inviting people to make a romantic comedy movie poster to help promote dog adoptions this February. 

At the end of the month, a vote will be held, and the winner will be awarded a prize. You can submit your movie poster, using the MADACC logo, to [email protected].
