The Cowboys have hired Mike Solari to replace Joe Philbin as their next offensive line coach, Todd Archer of ESPN reports.

Most recently, Solari spent four seasons with the Seahawks as their offensive line coach before they fired him after the 2021 season.

Under Solari, the Seahawks had one of the top rushing attacks in the NFL in 2018, but the offensive line struggled in pass protection throughout his tenure. In his four seasons, the offensive line finished with a rating of No. 19, No. 30, No. 20, and No. 25 in pass blocking, according to Pro Football Focus. Under Philbin, Dallas was No. 14 in pass blocking and No. 11 in run blocking last season.

Solari has experience working with Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy, as he was the Packers' assistant offensive line coach in 2015.

This won't be Solari's first stop in Dallas as he began his NFL coaching career as an assistant offensive line coach & special teams coach on Tom Landry's staff in 1987.

Solari has more than four decades of college and NFL coaching experience.
