SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A Sioux Falls man is behind bars today after robbing two local businesses Tuesday afternoon.
The first robbery occurred shortly after 2 p.m. at Lucky Lady’s Casino on the corner of 11th and Duluth.
The suspect, 41-year-old James Ball, threatened the clerk with a knife but left without taking any cash.
In the second robbery, Ball entered the Kum & Go on 12th and Garange around 4 p.m.
He threatened employees with a knife before leaving with cash.
Several witnesses were present during the second robbery and provided important details about the suspect to police.
Late Tuesday night, officers were in the area of 11th and Summit and located the suspect based on the description provided by witnesses.
He was arrested and housed in the Minnehaha County Jail shortly after midnight.
Ball is currently facing charges of Robbery and Aggravated Assault, with additional charges possible.
