The MVP candidate has played both halves of the Nuggets' past two back-to-backs, but it wouldn't be surprising to see Denver give Jokic a night off to keep him fresh for the playoffs. If Jokic is sidelined, Zeke Nnaji and Thomas Bryant would be candidates for increased minutes, but Jamal Murray and Michael Porter would presumably be asked to handle the majority of the playmaking opportunities.

Brooks racked up 30 points (12-24 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 4-6 FT), six rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal over 34 minutes during Wednesday's 141-132 loss to the Clippers. For the first time in 2023 Brooks topped the 20-point and 30-point plateaus. Memphis sat Desmond Bane (foot), Jaren Jackson (calf) and Tyus Jones (foot) on the second night of a back-to-back, which allowed Brooks to take 24 shots, only trailing Ja Morant. The former second-round pick had 30 points, nine rebounds and six assists in his last three games combined, making Wednesday's performance even more impressive. With the Grizzlies nearly locked into the two seed, there may be more rest coming that could give Brooks opportunities like he had Wednesday.

Zegras (lower body) will travel with the Ducks to Seattle ahead of Thursday's contest versus the Kraken, per Lisa Dillman of The Orange County Register. There's no guarantee that Zegras will play Thursday, but at very least the possibility is still there. He left Monday's contest because of the injury. Zegras has 22 goals and 59 points in 74 outings this season.

The 25-year-old has served as the Rams' starting strong safety since he was drafted as a second-round selection by Los Angeles in 2019, and he registered 92 tackles, six passes defensed and two interceptions across 16 contests last season. Although the Bills already have two prominent safety options in Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde (neck), Rapp is still more than likely to command a rotational role within the team's secondary.
