Emmerdale spoilers (February 6 to 10)

Next week on Emmerdale, Sarah is rushed to hospital shortly after making a shock discovery.

1. Paddy is forced onto a double date

Bear tries to help Paddy move on with his life by arranging for them to have a double date with two women, Carol and Bev. Paddy reluctantly goes along with it, but clearly isn't in the right headspace so soon after his split from Chas.

When Bear wants to carry on the fun by heading into town with Carol and Bev, an uneasy Paddy makes his excuses.

2. Chas leaves Paddy crushed

Chas is surprised when she thinks she can overhear Paddy boasting about the joys of the single life. She retaliates by flirting with Kev, the pub's drayman.

Paddy shows his disapproval towards Chas, but she fires back and accuses him of controlling behaviour. Hinting that she wants rid of Paddy, a no-nonsense Chas points out that it's his choice to continue living with her when they're no longer a couple. Paddy is devastated.

3. Mandy and Paddy grow closer again

Mandy is concerned to see Paddy looking so upset after his argument with Chas. She offers comfort to Paddy, but accidentally lets slip that she may still have feelings for him.

Later, Mandy and Paddy drink together and seem closer than they've been in years. A reunion has been teased for the couple, so is this the moment they give into temptation?

4. Nate tries to help Ethan and Marcus

Ethan shares some disappointing news over the investigation into Greg, explaining that he's trying to discredit the complaint that was made against him. Naomi comes up with a plan to expose Greg's true nature, suggesting that Nate could act as bait.

At a bar, Nate catches Greg's eye and secretly records him as they get chatting. Nate desperately hopes that he can make this work and prove that Ethan and Marcus have been telling the truth about Greg's sleazy behaviour.

5. Sarah overhears Mack and Chloe's secret

A guilt-ridden Mack informs Chloe that he wants to tell Charity the truth about the baby. Chloe doesn't think it's a good idea, but Mack stands firm.

Both are unaware that Sarah has come out of her bedroom upstairs and has overheard every word.

Mack suggests that Chloe should leave before he speaks to Charity. Chloe refuses, sensing that Mack will throw her to the wolves if she doesn't get a chance to have her say.

6. Sarah is rushed to hospital

At the exact moment that Mack and Chloe plan to come clean with Charity, there's a worrying turn of events as Sarah comes down the stairs, struggling to breathe.

Sarah is rushed to hospital, where a bereft Charity privately shares her fears for her granddaughter's life expectancy.

Mack and Chloe feel helpless and they realise that their plans for a big confession will have to be put on hold.

7. Bob discovers Cathy's decision

During Cathy and Heath's birthday gathering, Brenda lets Bob know that his daughter has started taking the pill due to her heavy periods. Bob is disappointed that Cathy felt she couldn't confide in him.

Cathy is outraged when Bob tries to talk to her about the situation during the party. She orders her party guests to leave, while Bob is mortified to have mishandled the situation.
