Emmerdale has shared a first look as Paddy and Mandy Dingle draw closer again.
Upcoming episodes of the soap will see the former couple start to rekindle their relationship in the wake of the revelation that Paddy's ex-wife Chas had an affair with Al Chapman.
Next week, Paddy gets upset in the wake of another argument with Chas after she thinks she can overhear him boasting about being single, Chas hitting back by flirting with pub drayman Kev.

In the wake of these scenes, Mandy is left concerned after noticing that Paddy is looking bereft after the clash.
He tries to hide from Mandy the following day, without much luck, leading him to admit that he feels lost. Mandy decides to comfort him with a hug.
She admits she knows how difficult it can be to move forward when you still love someone, leaving Paddy quietly struck, feeling she knows what he's going through.

In the Woolpack, Paddy and Mandy share a bottle of wine, though find themselves awkwardly trying to avoid making eye contact, especially after what Mandy has told him.
However, the two then ease into each other's company as the afternoon goes on, reminiscing and laughing.
Mandy is left wrestling with her conscience as the two lock eyes.

Amid the rekindling, Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw recently suggested that there will be a darker edge to the storyline.
"It's not all going to be love and laughter there with those people," she said.
"What we'll see is actually, underneath it all, as much as Paddy is putting on that big smile and that he is trying to act like everything is okay, actually underneath it all, it's not. We'll see a lot more of that in 2023."
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
