Police got to the 20200 block of Aurora Avenue North around 3:30 a.m. One of the men tried to run from police and the other was found hiding behind a car, wearing a facemask and gloves, said the Shoreline Police Department. Drugs and burglary tools were found in their backpack.

The family of Rod Collen is asking for donations and volunteers to continue their search for the 52-year-old pilot, whose plane went missing over Queets on March 6. After investigating, authorities were able to determine that the aircraft made a “very rapid” descent to the ground. Investigators believe the plane is somewhere in a 36-square-mile section of forest land near the coast, between Lake Quinault and Queets. Crews searched for 13 days and found no traces of the aircraft or the pilot and called off the search.

A woman is accused of assaulting an officer and a man after trying to take his child in Gas Works Park. The Seattle Police Department said officers were flagged down around 2:30 p.m. about a woman harassing people in the park. When officers got there, multiple people pointed toward a woman yelling nearby while other parkgoers were leaving to avoid her. Police said they approached the 36-year-old woman and she got aggressive and yelled obscenities at them. She also swung her hand toward one officer’s face and then struck another officer in the arm and face.

Seattle police arrested a man in Capitol Hill after he was suspected to have robbed a 24-year-old and then tried to steal a car from a 20-year-old. On Thursday at 4:22 p.m., the Seattle Police Department said it got a report of a 24-year-old robbed at knifepoint in the 500 block of Broadway East. Police learned that the 24-year-old was outside of a coffee shop when a 50-year-old man pointed a knife at them and demanded their purse. The 24-year-old tried to stop him, but he stole the purse and ran away. Police got to the area and were flagged down by a witness who pointed out the man. Before the officer could get to the man, he tried to carjack a 20-year-old. The officer told him to stop and he refused. More officers showed up and took the man into custody. A knife was recovered at the scene.

A teenage girl told Lacey police that a man choked her and tried to kiss her while she was waiting for the bus on Sunday. She said that while she was waiting, the man sat down “uncomfortably close” to her and started talking to her. As he was talking, he lunged at her and wrapped his hand around her neck, restricting her airway and tried to kiss her. She got away, started screaming, and the man took off. After investigating, police found out the man was released from jail on Thursday. On Wednesday morning, officers found the man and arrested him. He was booked into the King Couty Jai for assault with sexual motivation.

When searching the car, officers found $3,604 worth of merchandise stolen from local stores earlier that day.

Police found bags of drugs and notified the Narcotics Investigators from the RPD Special Enforcement Team (SET) who got a search warrant for the car.
