Stuart - Wednesday February 1, 2023: The City of Stuart's Annual Pavement Program is now underway. Essential road repairs and restoration has begun and will be ongoing through March 17.
First Phase of Construction – Crack Sealing: Crack seal is a polymer modified rubber blend that produces a strong yet flexible repair to pavement cracks and construction joints.
Second Phase of Construction – Microsurfacing: Approximately 30 days following application of crack sealant, a mixture of polymer modified asphalt emulsion, fine graded crushed aggregate, and mineral filler will be applied to create a hard asphalt wearing surface.
The road work will occur during daytime hours at the following locations, weather permitting:
- SE Ocean Avenue between SE 8th Street and SE 9th Street.
- SE Michaels Court
- SW St. Lucie Crescent
- SW Cleveland Avenue
- SW Bryant Avenue
- SW Pine Avenue
- SW Indianola Street
- SW Halpatiokee
- SW Riverview Street
- SW Overlook Drive
- SW Indian River Court
- SW California Avenue between SW Indian Grove and SW Winnachee
- SW Winnachee
- SW Ridge Lane
Both construction phases will require intermediate lane shifts/closures. Streets may be partially closed during posted working hours; however, the contractor is required to allow home residents access to their driveways when it is safe and achievable.
