On Jan. 26, police performed a welfare check on 45-year-old Melissa Hunter who had not shown up for work, and discovered her body at Mingo RV Park.
Police identified their suspect as Hunter's boyfriend of several years, Ryan Gordon, and quickly found him in Wagoner County near a boat ramp at Fort Gibson Lake.
When approached by law enforcement, Gordon stabbed himself in the chest. He was taken to a local hospital to be treated before being booked into Tulsa County jail.
