The Greenbrier County Democratic Women’s Club met on Tuesday, Jan. 24, to discuss activities and events for the coming year.
The club is collaborating with the Lewisburg chapter of the NAACP to celebrate Black History Month. Events to celebrate Earth Day are being planned, as well.
The group is focused on promoting the following Democratic values:
• Access to affordable health care, housing and food,
• Quality education and training for real jobs,
• Growing small business,
• Fair wages and reasonable taxes, and
• Protecting the environment and farms.
The club meets monthly on the fourth Tuesday of each month in the fellowship hall at the Old Stone Church. Everyone is welcome to attend (men too). Learn more about the club on their Facebook page. They welcome new members. Contact the club at greenbrierdemwomen@gmail.com.
