The Beavers 9-13 record may not inspire a ton of confidence, but the team is being patient and sticking to the process of bringing this young team along.
OSU has won 2 of their last 3 games and they feel like they're starting to peak at the right time.
They just have to stay on the current trajectory and continue believing they can compete.
Oregon State guard Dexter Akanno says, “Sometimes you go into games kind of timid, and obviously it's not on purpose, but I think it's, you know, we are a young group. So, we'll go into games kind of timid and kind of tip-toeing our way into games when we should be the ones attacking."
Head Coach Wayne Tinkle said, “With the amount of new guys, with the amount of freshman, we knew it was going to take time. We knew it was going to be a work in progress and we're still in the middle of that process. So, we're staying grounded we know we have a long way to go, but the fact that we're buying in and being active defensively gives us hope."
The Beavers take on Arizona State in Tempe on Thursday at 5 p.m. on the Pac-12 Network.
