Jason Bernard is accused of shooting someone on Nov. 5, 2020.
Police say they found him Tuesday hiding under clothes in someone's basement.
Officials say Bernard changed his appearance and used fakes names to dodge police.
Bernard is awaiting extradition to New York where he will face attempted murder charges.
