Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street is set to revisit Sarah and Adam Barlow's baby storyline.

Fans may remember that the married couple first discussed having a baby way back in August 2021, months after they reconciled following Adam's fling with Carla.

While the couple did begin trying for a baby, any plans they had were derailed when Adam's ex Lydia arrived and attempted to break the couple up.

Now that their relationship is back on track, Adam is set to broach the topic of having a baby. But this time, the problem could be Sarah's growing new business.

In upcoming scenes, Adam tells Sarah he's taking her for dinner because there's something he wants to discuss. However, Sarah needs to work late again, as she and Michael are trying to win a big contract.

Adam then tells Sarah that they need to make time to talk about having a baby. She says now isn't the right time to be thinking about having children.

Later in the week, Sarah promises Adam that she's willing to think about having a baby when the time is right — but could this start to drive a wedge between the couple?

While fans might be excited for Sarah and Adam to expand their family, actress Tina O'Brien may need some convincing.

Speaking in 2021, O'Brien admitted that "the time is right" for the couple to have a child, but she herself isn't too keen.

"I think I'm going to have to say to the writers: 'Yeah, please don't bother! I've done it twice, can we stop please?'" O'Brien said.

"Honestly, we have twins Freddie and Isaac who play little Harry — they are adorable and I love working with them — but it's the stuff before where you have to wear the bump for ages and you're carrying it around in every scene.

"So maybe Adam and Sarah should think about putting things on hold for a while!"

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
