PACE, Fla. -- "The Market" in Pace is hosting a grass volleyball tournament to raise money for the Davidson boys.
33-year-old Pace man Doug Davidson Jr. was shot and killed in the early morning hours of Jan. 1. He left behind three boys ages 13, 11 and 3.
The fundraiser will take place Feb. 18 starting at 9 a.m. at the Woodbine Baptist Church.
Registration starts Wednesday on The Market's Facebook page.
There will be 30 teams available among three divisions.
"If you want to play -- whether you are highly competitive or even just recreational -- tomorrow we're opening up sign up," event organizer Allison Hartman said. "It is going to go fast. I'll tell you that. We've already had Pensacola Christian College -- the head volleyball coach -- reach out to us. They're bringing four teams. We have some people from Tampa coming. They're very competitive, they're bringing teams. So those 30 teams are going to fill up fast tomorrow."
Doug Davidson's wife Chloe Davidson was arrested and charged with his murder. She's expected back in court Thursday.
