CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Because of predicted severe winter weather, there are several closures in the area on Wednesday. Email closure notices to news@clarksvillenow.com.
CMCSS
All Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools and District offices will be closed Wednesday, Feb. 1. CMCSS will use the third of five inclement weather stockpile days. Custodians and mission-essential employees will receive further guidance from Operations Department supervisors.
Austin Peay State University
Austin Peay will open at noon Wednesday. On-ground classes that take place before noon are canceled. Online classes will continue as usual. Employees will work remote until noon and then report to campus. Fort Campbell Center classes are canceled all day.
Other schools/daycares
Clarksville Academy will be closed Wednesday.
Clarksville Christian School will be closed Wednesday.
Fort Campbell
Fort Campbell will be open on Wednesday for mission critical operations. Only mission essential personnel should report to work, or as directed by your supervisor. More information is available at the Fort Campbell Facebook page.
City of Clarksville
All Clarksville City offices and facilities, not including Clarksville Gas & Water and CDE Lightband, will open at 11 a.m. Wednesday. City Court cases that were to be heard this morning will be rescheduled.
Montgomery County
Montgomery County Government offices are closed Wednesday. Visit https://mcgtn.org/ for available online services.
Montgomery County Courts
Courts are closed Wednesday.
Clarksville Gas and Water
Offices will be closed on Wednesday. The following utility bill payment options are available 24 hours a day:
- Utility Billing Line, (931) 645-7400, pay-by-phone feature.
- WebConnect, www.clarksvillegw.com, online payment and account management.
On-call personnel will be available to address gas, water and sewer emergencies. Customers should call the after-hours phone line, (931) 645-0116, to report an emergency.
Other closings/cancelations
Manna Cafe office and food distribution is closed, but the warming center is open at 503 D Street.
Clarksville Young Professionals meeting scheduled for Wednesday is canceled.
Clarksville Civitan meeting scheduled for Wednesday is canceled. Clergy Day event will be postponed.
Clarksville Area Urban Ministries office, 217 S. 3rd St., will be closed Wednesday.
Clarksville Fire Rescue administrative offices will open remotely this morning. All admin division personnel will be accessible electronically via email or phone. If you do not have a direct number, call 931-645-7456 and you will be directed accordingly. Normal in-office staffing will resume at 11 a.m. today. All fire, rescue and emergency operations will continue as normal.
