The Greensburg YMCA is looking for help in the midst of what officials called a staffing crisis Tuesday.
The lack of staff has forced the YMCA to cut multiple programs and temporarily close the Early Childhood Learning Center.
"We get letters from parents, seemingly in tears, saying they are going to lose their job without care for their child," CEO Suzanne Printz said.
Printz said the staffing issues started at the beginning of the pandemic but escalated in November when a large number of staff members left.
"Our wages, because we're a non-profit, we're not able to pay what we'd love to pay with competing industries in the area," Printz said.
Printz said the organization is looking at possibilities to help increase salaries, including requesting additional funding from the state and potentially partnering with area businesses.

The Y has been forced to close seven out of nine sites that previously hosted childcare programs in the region.
"In our before-and-after-school program, we could take up to 200 children," Printz said. "Right now, we have 48."
The Greensburg YMCA is hoping to draw interest in some of the openings by hosting an open house Wednesday. Interested part-time or full-time applicants can visit the Y at 101 S. Maple Street in Greensburg from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
YMCA officials are encouraging any interested applicants to bring a resume with them.
