Could Tom Brady really finish his career with his hometown team the San Francisco 49ers?

According to one former player, the Niners would be a “juggernaut” if they were to land the seven-time Super Bowl champion.

Joe Thomas, the former left tackle of the Cleveland Browns, joined 95.7 The Game’s “Willard and Dibs” on Tuesday and was asked about the possibility of the Niners going after Brady.

“If you put [Brady] in Kyle Shanahan’s offense it’s not like he’s gonna be running RPOs like Trey Lance,” Thomas said. “He’s gonna be running the old-school Kyle Shanahan offense that he had with Matt Ryan. Where it’s bootlegs and play-actions.

“...It’s gonna be a little different offense, gonna be a little throwback with Kyle Shanahan if Brady was there but he could absolutely run that offense with [the] smallest efficiency and I think it would be a juggernaut of an offense if you put Brady in there right now with Kyle Shanahan.”

Brady, who will be 46 next season, has not yet made a decision on whether or not he will play in 2023, although many believe he will return.

The 49ers were just one game away from the Super Bowl and did it with their third-string quarterback, Brock Purdy. For as good as Purdy was, he is set to undergo elbow surgery.

Jimmy Garoppolo will be a free agent and Trey Lance, whom the Niners traded up to draft with the No. 3 overall pick two years ago, remains an unknown after he missed the entire season after suffering a season-ending ankle injury in Week 2.

If Brady wants to win one more Super Bowl and the Niners need just one more piece to hoist the Lombardi Trophy, it could very well be a perfect match.
