A woman was killed after she was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross the street in the Penn North neighborhood in west Baltimore, according to Baltimore City Police Department.
At around 8:41 am, officers were sent to the 1600 block of West North Ave to investigate an injured pedestrian due to a hit and run, said the department.
Investigators say the victim, identified as Jessica Marie Tiller, was struck on the corner of West North Avenue and Carey Street while crossing.
City police say she was struck by a black 2019-2023 Hyundai Sonata traveling eastbound on North Avenue.
Officials say Tiller was taken to Shock Trauma by medics due to her injuries.
She was pronounced dead on January 30, according to authorities.
Baltimore City Police say because of the severity of the victim’s injuries, CRASH Team investigators assumed control over the investigation.
