Arrest made in deadly shooting near Huffman community

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBMA) —
An arrest was made Tuesday in connection the shooting death of a Jaylen Andarrius Clark near the Huffman community Sunday.

The Birmingham Police Department said an 18-year-old was charged with murder and attempted murder.
Police said the shooting happened in the 100 block of Nekoma Drive. Another person was also in injured in the shooting and taken to the hospital.
Police said the 18-year-old is in police custody at a local hospital receiving treatment for a gunshot wound he sustained during the incident.
Upon released from the hospital, police said he will be transported to the Jefferson County Jail where he will be held without bond.
