Several people were arrested after a shootout involving a popular YouTube personality in Henderson earlier this month, according to arrest records.
Officers were called just before 3 a.m. on Jan. 12 to reports from Cordero Brady that he had been shot by two people, an arrest report from Henderson Police states.
Brady also goes by the name "CJ So Cool" with more than 8 million subscribers to his YouTube channel.
Both suspects were gone by the time officers arrived, and Brady was found suffering from two gunshot wounds to both of his legs, police wrote. He was taken to Sunrise Hospital for treatment.
Brady told detectives he went to sleep the night before but was woken up by two men yelling at him inside his bedroom. He said both men were armed and when he stood up, they both began to fire at him.
One of the men hit Brady in the head with a handgun and he was knocked down to the floor, he told police. He took a gun out of his nightstand and fired back at the men, who ran out of the bedroom.
Brady said he followed them and shot at the men from the top of the staircase but wasn't sure if he struck anyone. He then called 911 and checked to make sure nobody else was still inside the house.
Police wrote that they canvassed the area for evidence and found several pieces of clothing and a backpack nearby, with a cell phone inside the backpack. Surveillance video also showed two people walking toward Cordero's house.
Detectives examined the phone and found text messages from suspects later identified as Derrick Roberts, 26, and Raven Queen, 28. Cell phone GPS records put them in the area of Brady's home the night of the shooting.
Roberts and Queen were later located and taken into custody last week, along with three others identified as juveniles.
Both Roberts and Queen are being held at Henderson Detention Center on suspicion of attempted murder, robbery with a deadly weapon and home invasion, among other charges.
