Visit the Hunter Museum for free with Chattanooga Library card

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Hunter Museum of Art teamed up with the Chattanooga Public Library to offer free museum passes.
The Chattanooga Public Library stated in a press release that museum passes may be checked out with a library card. It is free of charge.
Their mission is to make art accessible to all people.
One pass covers museum admission for two adults. Those under 18 already receive free admission.
Museum passes are now available at all library locations.
They are available on a first come, first served basis.
The passes are good for one week.
The Hunter Museum also offers discounted rates for EBT cardholders.
The library and the Hunter Museum started their partnership in 2022. They originally allowed free admission once a month. This program is continuing as well.
Passes to the Chattanooga Zoo and the Creative Discovery Museum are also available at Chattanooga Public Libraries.
Additionally, the downtown library offers passes to Audubon Acres and Reflection Riding.
“Libraries have always been pioneers of equitable access,” says the library’s interim Executive Director Richard Beeland. “Over the past decade, we’ve redefined what that means to include technology, tools, and even experiences, along with access to books.”
