The Honeymoon Phase Is Just Starting For Carmella

Carmella is back and says the honeymoon phase is never over when she’s around.

Carmella returned to WWE Raw on Monday, January 30, 2023, and was confronted by a revitalized Asuka, who was dripping the poison blue mist from her mouth. Asuka had previously used the mist during the 2023 Royal Rumble match, inadvertently helping Rhea Ripley win the Battle Royal.

During the subsequent episode of WWE Raw Talk, Byron Saxton interviewed Carmella, foolishly claiming that the honeymoon phase was over. Saxton’s reasoning for this is due to the fact that “The Princess of Staten Island” would be entering Fatal Four-Way action next week against Piper Niven, Raquel Rodriguez, and the aforementioned Asuka.

In what was surely a great moment for Corey Graves, Carmella was quick to put Byron Saxton in his place and say that the honeymoon phase is just getting started when it comes to her.

“Do you know who I am? I am Carmella. I am the moonwalking, trash-talking ‘Princess of Staten Island.’ I am back in the honeymoon phase is not over. It’s just starting,” she said. “I thrive in high-pressure situations. So, next week the honeymoon phase is just going to continue because I’m going to go on to Elimination Chamber, and I’m going to prove to everyone why Mella is money.

“You know what’s something that I can’t get out of my head is, I don’t know if you saw earlier tonight, Asuka, everyone is so scared of Asuka. Oh, ‘No one is ready for Asuka.’ Guess who is ready for Asuka? I’m ready for Asuka because I’m always ready, honey. I don’t have to get ready because I stay ready.”

Carmella remarked that she did feel in the mood for Icees after watching the blue mist drip from Asuka. If she wins next week, she may go out for celebratory Icees.
