Two men arrested for attempting to steal lawn equipment in Martin County

Two men from Miami are behind bars after Martin County sheriff's deputies caught them attempting to steal expensive lawn equipment.

According to the sheriff's office, 44-year-old Enrique Quintero and 33-year-old Vincent Monds traveled to Martin County in the middle of the night looking for equipment to steal.

The department's Criminal Investigations Division, along with Uniform Road Patrol and Aviation Units, watched as the two men drove from one location to another before stopping at an outdoor storage yard on SE Dixie Highway.

Once there, they cut the fence and began taking equipment, according to authorities. That is when deputies on scene arrested the pair.

Quintero and Monds were arrested and charged with burglary, possession of burglary tools and resisting arrest.
