Police: Teen girls charged after Hamden High School fight

HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH) — A school resource officer recovered a stun gun following a fight Tuesday between two girls at Hamden High School, according to police.

The officer was made aware at about 11 a.m. that two girls were arguing, according to police. The officer then took the stun gun, which looked like a cell phone.

One girl was charged with breach of peace and for possession of a weapon on school grounds. The second was charged with possession of a weapon on school ground.

Police said the stun gun was the only weapon at the scene.

Extra patrol units were assigned to the school during the argument, and for the rest of the school day. No one was injured, and police said there is no threat to students or staff.
