SUNRISE, Fla. – Pacifica Senior Living Sunrise received an “Unsatisfactory” inspection last Friday after roaches were found in several residents’ rooms.
Local 10 News has learned inspectors were back at the facility based on a complaint and found the issues.

According to the inspection, roaches were found in 12 rooms and in several shared spaces known as “quads” between rooms.
The inspector also noted dirty floors in several rooms and a strong odor of urine in room 1216.
This inspection follows a Local 10 News investigation into a rodent infestation in the facility’s kitchen.
The Department of Health ordered the kitchen at Pacifica Senior Living Sunrise shut after Local 10 News provided the state with video of rodents in the kitchen.
As of this post, the kitchen still remains closed.
Family members with loved ones inside the Assisted Living Facility remain irate they were never informed for the rodent issue even though Pacifica Management confirms they have been dealing with the rodent problem for six weeks.
According to the inspection, 153 residents live at Pacifica Senior Living Sunrise.
Many depend on the dining facility for their meals.
The Department of Health has ordered Pacifica to bring food in.
Records show the facility is licensed for 200 people. The facility was due to be re-inspected on Monday, Jan. 30.
Local 10 News is awaiting results from the re-inspection.
