UPDATE: Feb. 2:The Birmingham Police Department announced the arrests of two suspects in this investigation.The suspects were identified as Tanarence Murphy, 27, and Aaron Bearden, 24.Both are from Birmingham and are charged with capital murder.The police department says both suspects were taken into custody in Huntsville.They are currently in the Jefferson County Jail with no bond.---------------------------------------------Birmingham police are investigating a deadly shooting in the Fairmont area.Officers were called to the 4200 block of Fairmont Way just before 8 a.m. Tuesday morning on a report of a person down inside a home.A neighbor had gone to check on the man and found him unresponsive.Robert Lee Chandler, 57, was pronounced dead on the scene by Birmingham Fire and Rescue crews.Police say he some type of trauma, but there was no evidence to show if he was shot or stabbed. The coroner's office determined that he had been shot.There are no suspects in custody.Any neighbors who saw or heard anything are asked to call Crime stoppers at 205-254-7777.
