Hyundai published the final EPA-estimated figures of all trims of the Ioniq 6, achieving the initial targets.

The Hyundai Ioniq 6 SE RWD Long Range with 18-inch wheels is the trim that can go the furthest on a full charge, with 361 miles (581 km) of EPA-estimated range and a combined energy consumption of 140 MGPe. The latter is better than the 131 MGPe rating of the rival Tesla Model 3 RWD and matches the Lucid Air which sits at the top of the 2023 Top Ten Vehicles list on the Fueleconomy.gov website.

The equivalent AWD variant of the Ioniq 6 SE Long Range shaves off 45 miles (72 km) from the range, achieving 316 miles (509 km) with an average consumption of 121 MPGe in the combined cycle. Finally, the trim with the shortest range is the Ioniq 6 Limited AWD which comes fitted with 20-inch wheels and can drive up to 270 miles (435 km) between charges with a rating of 103 MPGe.

The Ioniq 6 Long Range model comes fitted with a 77.4 kWh battery pack. The fully electric powertrain produces 225 hp (168 kW) in single-motor RWD form or 320 hp (239 kW) in dual-motor AWD form.

Hyundai Ioniq 6 Achieves Target Of Up To 361-Mile EPA Range

Hyundai brags that the Ioniq 6 has the lowest drag coefficient among its entire model range, with 0.22 cd. This was achieved thanks to its sleek shape and clever solutions including the active flaps on the bumper intake, the wheel gap reducers, the low-drag alloy wheels, the underbody cover, the double rear spoiler, and other aero-friendly components around the bodywork. The Korean-spec model is slightly more aerodynamic with a drag coefficient of 0.21 cd thanks to the mirror-replacing cameras that are currently not permitted in the US market.

The Hyundai Ioniq 6 will reach US dealerships this spring with pricing set to be announced closer to that date.
