Score Predictions for West Virginia at TCU

Our staff picks who will win tonight's game between the Mountaineers and Horned Frogs.

The West Virginia Mountaineers (13-8, 2-6) meet the No. 11 TCU Horned Frogs (16-5, 5-3) on the road for the second game of the season series Wednesday night, with tipoff set for 9:00 p.m. EST and airing on ESPNU.

Schuyler Callihan: West Virginia 71, TCU 62

It seems like this Mountaineer team is stating to finally round into shape and is playing with confidence. Beating two top 15 teams will do that. Tonight, they'll have a chance to pick up their third win over a top 15 team over the last two weeks.

The offense has been much better during this recent stretch of games but for me, it's the defense that doesn't get talked about enough. Yes, they allowed 77 points to Auburn, but they came up with several key stops in the game including the one at the end to seal the deal.

West Virginia's bigs outwork TCU on the glass for a second time, muscling their way to a season sweep.

Christopher Hall: West Virgina 78 TCU 64

Reports out of Ft. Worth are indicating TCU leading scorer Mike Miles Jr. will be out of the lineup versus West Virginia with a hyperextended knee he suffered in the opening minutes of the Big 12/SEC challenge in the overtime loss to Mississippi State on Saturday.

The Mountaineers forced 19 turnovers and pounded Horned Frogs on the glass 31-18.

I don't expect TCU to have the pieces to fill in for Miles, but I do suspect it will still be competitive until the latter stages of the contest. West Virginia pulls off the win 78-64.
