ESPN Bracketology Update - 1/31

A look at where the Mountaineers sit in the latest bracketology projection.

It's been a while since the West Virginia Mountaineers had a perfect week of basketball but it finally happened last week as they defeated Texas Tech on the road and No. 15 Auburn at home in the Big 12/SEC Challenge.

With those two wins, the Mountaineers have moved back into the tournament field according to ESPN bracketologist, Joe Lunardi.

WVU is projected to be a No. 11 seed in the Midwest Region.

1. Alabama vs 16. Southern/UT Martin

8. North Carolina vs 9. Northwestern

5. Indiana vs 12. Charleston

4. Baylor vs 13. UCSB 

6. San Diego State vs 11. West Virginia

3. Gonzaga vs 14. Colgate

7. Charleston vs 10. Arkansas

2. Kansas vs 15. Siena

Bob Huggins and co. will be back in action tonight for a late tip-off against TCU. They'll look to collect the season sweep of the Horned Frogs, which will also mark their third win over a top 15 team in the last two weeks.
