Governor Gretchen Whitmer will join others in Lansing on Tuesday at 9 a.m. to sign recently passed legislation that invests in affordable housing, community revitalization, and will support small businesses and entrepreneurs, according to a press release.
The $1.1 billion supplemental spending proposal, Senate Bill 7, was approved by the majority of lawmakers in the House and Senate on Thursday, marking the Democrat-led Legislature's first significant spending legislation of the new term.

The Democrat-introduced bill gained the support of some Republicans, passing the House 60-48 and the Senate 24-14.
The bill is to address proposals that Whitmer stated in her fifth State of the State Address.
