Coronation Street star Tina O'Brien has posted a lovely tribute to her real-life husband Adam Crofts.

The actress is best known for her Corrie stint as Sarah Platt, a role she started playing in 1999.

In an Instagram post, O'Brien posted a video montage capturing several sweet moments in her relationship with Crofts and their son, as well as the daughter the actress shares with former Corrie co-star Ryan Thomas.

"I love this incredible human so much, Mr Adam Crofts," O'Brien wrote in the caption.

She also explained the tribute isn't tied to any particular occasion, adding: "It's not his birthday or our wedding anniversary. Just cos."

In an ongoing storyline for her Corrie character, Sarah may have inadvertently helped serial killer Stephen Reid get away with his latest murder.

Sarah continues planning to launch her own business with Michael, keeping it a secret from Underworld boss Carla Connor. In a recent episode, she asked her uncle Stephen to wipe the CCTV footage so Carla wouldn't find out about a secret meeting with Michael that took place at Underworld.

Meanwhile, Stephen realised in horror that the footage in question contains proof he's responsible for Teddy's death.

As fans know, the disgraced businessman accidentally killed engineer Leo Thompkins last year. In an attempt to cover his crimes, he also got rid of Leo's father Teddy, who had previously come to Weatherfield to find out what happened to his son.

Unaware of her uncle's wrongdoings, Sarah told him how he could delete the recordings, which he did. Will the truth be discovered?

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
