The western part of Tarrant County was one of the first areas to really get slammed by Monday's ice storm.
White Settlement police reported very bad driving conditions and had numerous crashes. One major collision was north-bound on Loop 820 near Clifford where a pick-up was very badly damaged in what appeared to be a chain reaction crash with several vehicles slipping on the glassy ice and ending up scattered across all lanes.
White Settlement police say in a tweet "crashes are typically occurring when people are driving too fast for conditions around overpasses and bridges,"
No injuries were reported.
