After both the Simpson Storm basketball teams dropped both of their conference games to Loras and Wartburg last week, both squads are now fighting for a postseason tournament spot or seeding.

The Storm women are currently holding the sixth spot and have a lot of cushion, currently three games ahead of seventh-seeded Central. The Storm will play a crucial game at Luther on Saturday, then Dubuque the next week, with their three remaining games with teams in the last three conference standings spots.

The Storm are on the outside looking in after their six-game losing streak at 4-7, but will have games against three of the teams they are fighting against for playoff spots, and are only two games out of the fifth seed.

The teams will take Wednesday off for the bye, then travel to Luther on Saturday.
