Report: Barcelona Hoping To Agree Deal For Liverpool Midfield Target

Liverpool were linked with Fiorentina's Sofyan Amrabat during and after the 2022 World Cup.
Barcelona are hoping to agree a loan deal for Fiorentina midfielder and Liverpool target, Sofyan Amrabat, according to a report.
The 26-year-old excelled at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar where he helped Morocco make the semi-finals where they were eventually beaten 2-0 by France.

During the competition itself, and after, a whole host of clubs were linked with a move for Amrabat with Liverpool widely reported as one of the teams leading the chase for his services.
Whilst interest from the Merseyside club appears to have stalled, Barcelona are trying to agree on a loan deal for the player.
That's according to Gerard Romero (via Jijantes FC ) who claims that the Catalan club are working on a six-month loan deal with an option to purchase the player at the end of that period.
'FC Barcelona would be working on the loan for 6 months without the mandatory purchase option of the Moroccan player Sofyan Amrabat After this period the club can decide whether to keep it or not.'
Amrabat seemed to be high up the list of players that Liverpool were interested in at one stage but that interest seemed to fade over recent weeks.
It seems extremely unlikely therefore that the Anfield hierarchy will make a move for him before the window closes on Tuesday evening, which could leave Barcelona with a free run at him.
