Blood drive set for Feb. 8

A blood drive will be held at the Bank of St. Francisville, 5700 Commerce St., from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 8. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments can be made. Visit tbcdonors.org to make an appointment.

Register for soccer

Spring soccer registration is open for West Feliciana Parks and Recreation. Deadline is Feb. 10. Cost is $75 for ages 3 through eighth grade. Visit www.wfprec.com to register.

Academy practice is at 6 p.m., Monday, Feb 6, for 3-year-olds on Field 1F, Pre-K and kindergarten on Field 1A and 1-2 grade on Field 1D.

Games will be played on Tuesdays and Thursday from March 7-30.

Clinton High reunion

The Clinton High School class of 1983 will have its 40th reunion from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., May 20, at Vizionz Event & Co., 8158 Plank Road, Baton Rouge. Class church on May 21 will be announced later.

Event notices are popping up as the new year takes hold. Be sure to include these items on your calendar.

  • The East Feliciana Unified Alumni Association will have a fundraiser at 7 p.m. Feb. 11. The 2023 Mardi Gras Gala will be at the Early Learning Center, 9414 Plank Road, Clinton. Tickets are $25 a person/$50 a couple and can be purchased from any member of the alumni group or at eventbrite.com.
  • The annual Tunica Hills Music Festival will be March 25 in St. Francisville.
  • The second Jackson Car Show, with arts, crafts, food and music, will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 1 at 3312 College St., behind the Old Hickory Railroad Model Train Museum. Visit @historicjacksonla on Facebook to see the list of awards for the car show. Registration by March 31 is free. It’s $20 between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. the day of the show. Awards are at 2 p.m. Entry to the event is $5. People are asked to bring a nonperishable item or donate to the Jackson Food Bank.
