A move that has long been rumored looks set to finally come to fruition. Following a flurry of afternoon reporting regarding the future of forward Hakim Ziyech, there is now ' optimism ' at both PSG and Chelsea that a deal can be concluded on deadline day.
Given the incoming forwards at Chelsea and other reported targets being pursued, it is hardly a surprise the Moroccan is looking to move on. According to Santi Aouna, the forward has already spoken with PSG players in regard to this potential loan move late in the window.
As stated above, the report claims that both sides are optimistic that there is a deal to be done, with current discussions centered around a potential option to buy for the French club.
Other reporting claimed that this move will strictly be a loan with no option to buy, but that would make little sense, given Chelsea's surplus in attack and Ziyech's likely desire for a prominent role that won't be available at Stamford Bridge.
Additionally, it has been claimed that the forward turned down approaches from domestic clubs Newcastle and Everton in favor of this move to PSG. Chelsea will be plenty busy on deadline day, with this deal one of the many being handled.
