HOW’S IT LOOKING OUT THERE? WELL, YOU KNOW, YES, WE ARE DEFINITELY LUCKY WHEN IT COMES TO DRIVING CONDITIONS, AT LEAST AT THIS HOUR AS WE DRIVE DOWN I-235 COMING UP TOWARDS THE EXIT TO DOWNTOWN OKLAHOMA CITY AND SIXTH STREET HERE, WE CAN SEE THINGS ARE PRETTY OKAY ON THE INTERSTATES. SO IT’S KIND OF WHAT WE’VE BEEN SEEING ALL AFTERNOON AND REALLY ALL DAY, ALL MAJOR ROADWAYS AND INTERSTATES HAVE BEEN CLEAR IN THE METRO. IT’S THOSE LESS TRAVELED SIDE ROADS AND NEIGHBORHOODS THAT WE’VE SEEN. SOME OF THOSE SLICK SPOTS. BUT WE EXPECT MORE WINTER WEATHER TO MOVE IN TO OUR AREA. WE CAUGHT UP WITH ODOT THIS AFTERNOON TO SEE HOW THEY ARE GOING TO CONTINUE TO MAKE SURE OUR ROADS ARE SAFE TO BE OUT ON. BUT WE’VE SEEN CONDITIONS STEADILY IMPROVE IN THE METRO. ODOT CREWS HARD AT WORK MONDAY AS A BLAST OF WINTER WEATHER MOVED ACROSS OKLAHOMA AND AS WE HEAD INTO ANOTHER DAY OF BELOW FREEZING TEMPS AND ANOTHER STORM ON THE WAY, OKARCHE SAYS THEY WILL BE MONITORING CONDITIONS THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT. THEY WILL HAVE CREWS OUT OVERNIGHT CHECKING BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES, MAKING SURE THAT THEY ARE SANDED AND SALTED AND SAFE. AND THE ODOT SPOKESWOMAN SAYS CONDITIONS VARY THROUGHOUT THE STATE. SO IF YOU’RE TRAVELING FAR, MAKE SURE YOU KEEP AN EYE ON THE FORECAST FOR US HERE IN THE OKC METRO, ODOT. WE’LL HAVE CREWS OUT IN THE EARLY MORNING HOURS BEFORE ANY STORM MOVES IN. GIVE OUR CREWS TIME TO GO OUT AND REALLY WORK AND TREAT THAT NEW PRECIPITATION. IT TAKES TIME TO COVER THOSE LARGE AREAS. AND YOU HEARD HER MENTION THOSE TROUBLED SPOTS, THOSE BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES. IF YOU HAVE TO BE OUT IN THE MORNING, THEY RECOMMEND, JUST MAKE SURE YOU TAKE THINGS SLOW. MAKE SURE YOU GET TO YOUR DESTINATION SAFELY AND, OF COURSE, GIVE
