Nearly 10,000 people were cited for speeding in construction or school zones in Colorado over a three-year period from 2019 to 2021. The Colorado State Patrol is asking drivers to slow down in these zones, and says these other drivers showed a reckless disregard for the lives of children and roadside workers. More than 208,000 drivers were cited for speeding over the same time period. Those most cited hailed from five counties in Colorado, including Weld County.
