  • TFTI Houston at The Galleria | Daily – Arrive armed with your phone or camera and explore more than 18 colorfully clever rooms and installations perfect for nailing your newest selfie, family photo, or date experience. $28; $23 for ages 12 and under. Closed Tuesday; times vary.
  • 6th Annual Lone Star Luau at Margaritaville Lake Conroe Resort | Thursday, February 2 to Sunday, February 5 – This weekend music festival includes acts from Texas and beyond, offering up songs about sun and sand, dirt roads and dive bars, and more. It’s a chance to hear a slate of singer-songwriters in a fun atmosphere. $35 and up. Times vary
  • Comedian Jon Reep at Houston Improv | Friday, February 3 & Saturday, February 4  The Last Comic Standing artist known for his contemporary country take on the world takes the stage at Houston’s comedy HQ in Spring Branch. Times vary.
  • The Riot Comedy Club presents Simon Gibson at Rudyard’s | Friday, February 3 & Saturday, February 4 – The co-host of NBC and USA Network’s Cannonball makes a stop in the Bayou City. $20 and up. Times vary
  • Lewis & Maese Old School Live Public Auction at Sawyer | Saturday, February 4 & Sunday, February 5 | FREE – Stop by the open bar, then bid for treasures—think designer furniture, original art, hand-knotted rugs from around the globe, chandeliers, antiques, vintage finds, jewelry, and more—for as little as $10. The interactive, and final live event at the eclectic auction house’s Arts District Houston location, will be an experience as much as a chance to score a massive haul for pennies on the dollar. Preview starts at 11am; auction at 1pm both days.
  • Lunar New Year Celebration Lantern Festival Night Market at POST Houston | Saturday, February 4 & Sunday, February 5 – Mark the Year of the Rabbit (or the Year of the Cat) with this fun festival featuring food, vendors, an Asian calligraphy demonstration, K-pop performances and more. $29. Times vary.

  • Glorilla in Concert at Warehouse Live The unapologetically independent and rapidly rising rapper, GloRilla is bringing the house down when she comes through the H promoting her debut EP, Anyways, Life’s Great… $35 and up. 8pm.
  • Punchline Monday at Axelrad | No Cover – Local comedian Jeff Joe is hosting a weekly comedy show at the Midtown hotspot and effervescent beer garden Axelrad. Come for the laughs and drafts, stay for the food as Umbrella Fellas will be on hand slanging delicious eats. 8pm.
  • Magic & Burlesque Show: 50 Shades of Gold at AvantGarden – Take a trip back in time to the roaring ’20s when you step through the door at AvantGarden as international performers bring a magic and cabaret show to Montrose. $15. 8:30pm to 10pm. 
  • Monday Night Live at Gotti’s | No Cover – The contemporary hangout spot in EaDo is hosting a live performance night where performers of all ilk—poets, musicians, and singers—can show up and show out. 9:30pm.

  • End of Dry January Blind Wine Tasting at We Olive & Wine Bar – Dry January is coming to an end, so start February eve off with a tasty and informative blind wine tasting led by the knowledgable team members at We Olive & Wine Bar. $35. 6pm to 8pm.
  • The Neon Rouge Cabaret Show at the Former Prohibition Theatre – Make Tuesday a spicy one and head out to a speakeasy in the heart of Downtown for a good dose of vaudeville magic with delightful burlesque treats and tasty specialty eats. $35 and up. 7pm.
  • Paint Along Workshop at Eureka Heights Brew Co. | FREE – Grab a brew and a terracotta pot and get to painting with Critter Craft Kingdom as they lead a paint workshop just in time for Valentine’s Day. Painting is free, but donations are welcome and drinks are on you. 7pm.
  • New Girl Trivia at Front Porch Pub | No Cover – Test your knowledge about Jess and the gang at Front Porch Pub for a super fun trivia night where it’s free to play but the food and drinks are on you. 7:30pm.
  • The Black Poetry Slam & Book Fair at Rudyard’s – Start Black History Month off by celebrating Black poets and storytellers from all over Houston and beyond. Write About Now hosts this poetry slam and book fair where you can shop for books and enjoy a friendly competitive poetry showcase at one of the coziest neighborhood spots, Rudz. $10 and up. 7:30pm to 10:30pm.
  • Comedy & Cocktails: Open Mic Night at Carrington’s Sports Bar | No Cover – Celebrate the end of dry January with tacos and a chance to perform comedy at an open mic night on South Main. 8pm to 11pm.

Wednesday, February 1, 2023

  • Raising the Steaks Wednesday at Bottled Blonde HTX | No Cover – The corner of Washington and Durham is about to be popping on a Wednesday as the pizzeria and beer garden hosts a weekly steak night. Happy hour from 3pm to 7pm. Steak prices vary. 3pm to 2am.
  • Mix & Mingle Steak Night at Belle Station | No Cover – Head out to Midtown and make hump day a date night at Belle Station with your choice of steak cuts seasoned to perfection, complimented with wine deals. 5pm to 11pm.
  • Marvel Trivia Night at Wakefield Crowbar | No Cover – Marvel fans assemble, DC fans avert your ears, Wakefield Crowbar is hosting a trivia night spanning the entire Marvel universe. Free to play; food and drinks on you. 6:30pm.
  • Un-Safe Spaces! An Uncensored Comedy & Crowdwork Show at Houston Improv – Doug Dalton of iCrime hosts this hybrid comedy show filled with hilarious jokes, frenetic crowdwork and storytelling, featuring sets from traveling headlining comedians from around the country. $15 and up. 7:30pm.
  • Happy Hour & Bingo at Uptown Lounge – Get the chance to yell out “Bingo!” while getting your eat and drink on at Uptown Lounge, plus don’t miss the $11 hookah. Bingo starts at 8pm is $5 to play. 6pm to 9pm.

  • Woodson Black Fest at Contemporary Arts Museum Houston | FREE – As Black History Month kicks off in earnest, recognize and celebrate Black artists’ and artisans’ contributions at the Woodson Black Fest, in honor of the distinguished author and thinker, Carter G. Woodson. Expect spoken word, film, music, lively conversation, and a short film screening. RSVP encouraged. 6pm to 8:30pm.
  • Kaash Paige in Concert at House of Blues – A fresh, new soulful voice in hip-hop, Dallas’ own Kaash Paige is bringing her brand new single, “Unusual Pt. 2,” with her when she comes through Downtown. $22.50. 7pm.
  • Jon Muq in Concert at McGonigel’s Mucky Duck – The Ugandan-born, Austin-based renaissance man with art in his veins and music in his art is bringing his expressive, soulful pop to Upper Kirby, showing Houston his prowess on the guitar that changed the trajectory of his life. $30 and up. 7pm.
  • Comedian Laura Peek at Houston Improv – The L.A.-based rising star and Nashville comedy scene alum, Lauren Peek, who was selected to be a New Face at the 2022 Just For Laughs Festival, does one night at the Spring Branch laugh house. $40 for 2, and up. 8pm.
  • Micky & the Motorcars in Concert at Main Street Crossing – Grab your boots and get ready as the genuine Red Dirt band and sons of outlaw country, Micky & the Motorcars, hit the stage in Tomball. $28 and up. 8pm.
  • Thee Sinseers & the Altons in Concert at Heights Theater – Grab a drink at the bar and get ready for a night filled with dancing as the Thee Sinseers brings a sexy and classic sound straight from the golden age of soul music, with support from sultry Latin-inspired soul group, the Altons. $18. 8pm.

Friday, February 3, 2023 

  • Who’s Bad: Michael Jackson Tribute at House of Blues – Celebrate the King of Pop at House of Blues with a night spanning the career of the most famous Jackson, performed by tribute act Who’s Bad. $15 and up. 7pm.
  • Ronnie Milsap in Concert at Dosey Doe: the Big Barn – “Any Day Now,” the country music legend will be heading out to the Woodlands to grace the stage with much loved and familiar favorites. $158 and up. 8:30pm.
  • Incubus in Concert at 713 Music Hall – The absolute stalwarts of both alternative rock and nu-metal for over 30 years, Incubus brings their forthcoming new music with familiar faves to 713—are you in? $65 and up. 9pm.
  • Fatima Hajji DJ Set at Bauhaus – The DJ, composer, and “techno sorceress from Salamanca” is headed to Downtown and she’s bringing her signature high energy to the DJ booth at Bauhaus. $10 and up. 10pm.
  • MATRODA DJ Set at Stereo Live – Get ready to shake off the week as Stereo Live hosts a wild dance night with EDM DJ Matroda spinning techno and house music when he comes through the Bayou City on his Jack the House tour. $20. 10pm.
  • Raja Live at ReBarRuPaul’s Drag Race Season 3 winner, the eye-con with a master’s degree in fierce, and the Gemini queen, Raja is pulling up to ReBar for an iconic live performance. $20 and up. 11:30pm.

Saturday, February 4, 2023 

  • HTX Pardi Gras at Urban South HTX | No Cover – Laissez les bon temps rouler as the Arts District brewery hosts a proper Texas-sized Mardi Gras party with a menu by Gastro Craft, specialty beer releases, and slices of the famous Dong Phuong King Cakes directly from NOLA. 1pm to 11pm.
  • Mario Kart Tournament at Ingenious Brewing Company | No Cover – Mario Kart, brews, and some of the best tacos in Houston, oh my. Head over to the Humble area for the first inaugural Mario Kart Tournament and compete for first and second place prizes. 2pm to 6pm.
  • Thorn & Moon Magickal Market at the Raven Tower | No Cover – Houston’s premiere witches’ night market and occult & oddities event celebrates the pagan festival of Lupercalia and Valentine’s Day with handcrafted items from more than 40 vendors, specialty cocktails and elixirs, and more. 6pm to 11pm.
  • Legendz of the Streetz Tour Reloaded at Toyota Center – Hip-hop heavyweights Jeezy, Gucci Mane, da boss Rick Ross, Trina and more are hitting Clutch City hard with what is sure to be a spectacular evening of hip-hop greatness. $65 and up. 7pm.
  • Comedian Chris D’Elia: Don’t Push Me Tour at Smart Financial Centre – Standup comic and podcaster, Chris D’Elia brings his national tour to Sugar Land for a one-night comedy performance. $37.50 to $59.50. 8pm.
  • Decadance VIII at Rise Rooftop – Celebrate dance music from around the world with sets by Athenz, Flvco, and Casador at Rise Rooftop in Midtown. $5 and up. 10pm to 2am.

Sunday, February 5, 2023 

  • BLCK History Now! BLCK Market Marketplace at Karbach Brewing Co. | No Cover – Close out the first weekend of Black History Month with a BLCK Market–run pop-up featuring Black-owned businesses, vendors and artisans at the Spring Branch brewery. 11am to 5pm.
  • Sunday Cocktail Social at Thirteen Lounge – James Harden’s Thirteen eatery on the edge of Midtown hosts a Sunday Funday with brunch and dinner bites, a happy hour from 6pm to 8pm, live DJ and more. No cover, but food and drink is on you. 11am to 8pm.
  • One Pot Showdown at Saint Arnold Brewery – The annual One Pot Showdown returns—“one part chili cookoff, one part stew stampede, one part gumbo gauntlet, and ten parts Saint Arnold goodness.” Cookoff teams will compete using their best one pot recipes using Saint Arnold beer, and ticket holders get to taste and help crown a champ. Tickets (known to sell out) are $45, with proceeds proudly benefitting Kids’ Meals. 1pm to 4pm.
  • Morat in Concert at Arena Theatre – Childhood friends–turned-band, Bogotá’s Morat is bringing their signature cozy folk pop vibes to Houston when they come through on their world tour celebrating their fourth studio album, Si Ayer Fuera Hoy. $77 and up. 6pm.
  • Heart Sunday: DJ Phon at Heart – Head to the Washington Ave dance club and end your week with music from DJ Phon. Free with RSVP before 11pm; cover charge after. 10pm to 2am.
