Known for her various K-dramas including the smash hit series "Crash Landing on You," Cha Jung Hwa shared her rookie days and her encounter with top host Yoo Hae Suk.

During her appearance in a show, she once revealed her experience with her first talent agency and how she met the award-winning host.

Cha Jung Hwa once spoke his fair share of interaction with labelmates including Yoo Jae Suk during her rookie days.

The said agency was DY Entertainment, which was founded by Shin Dong Yup.

During her interview, she praised the veteran host for his kind gestures to the newbie actors and would give extra money to some whenever he visits the company.

"It was the same company as Yoo Jae Suk," she said, as obtained by a media outletadding, "When I was at the office, Yoo Jae Suk brought me pocket money every time I went to the office."

On the other hand, the award-winning host responded and says that he didn't know that Cha Jung Hwa was among the trainees of their agency.

Moreover, he added how she used to look like as junior actress.

"I didn't know it was her because she had short hair and wore clothes with hip-hop style back then," Yoo Jae Suk furthered.

As for her acting journey, Cha Jung Hwa says she managed to make ends meet by pursuing her dream to become an actress while doing part-time jobs.

However, because of the struggles and challenges of landing on-screen projects, she once doubt her ability and considered working at clothing stores in Dongdaemun.

Interestingly, by the time she reached her 30s, Cha Jung Hwa realized what she wanted to do in her life.

"I'm happiest when I act," she said, showing off her determination to pursue her acting career.

Lo and behold, her hard work paid off and managed to land various characters from several hit K-dramas and movies.

After debuting in 2010 for a bit role in the music drama "Harmony," Cha Jung Hwa landed supporting roles in "The Fiery Priest," "Hotel Del Luna" where she played a policewoman in episode 1, and "Crash Landing on You" as one of the North Koreans portraying hairdresser Yang Ok Geum.

She also took the role of Im So Eun or NC.A's mother in "Itaewon Class" and a department store president in "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha."

Interestingly, she recently returned to the small screen, joining as the character of ​​Gak Shin in "Kokdu: Season of Deity" starring Kim Jung Hyun and Im Soo Hyang.
