Jae Crowder's exile remains one of the NBA's biggest storyline as the Feb. 9 trade deadline approaches, and the Chicago Bulls may have some interest in the Phoenix Suns veteran.

According to Matt Moore of The Action Network, "The Bulls and Suns have had conversations about a deal involving Coby White for Crowder in recent weeks, but no real traction is thought to be present."

Because White ($7.4 million) and Crowder ($10.1 million) are relatively close in salary, a one-for-one swap would work. It would be an interesting deal.

For the Bulls (23-26), adding another two-way wing would make sense, given their depth in the backcourt. For the Suns (26-25), adding quality depth behind Chris Paul and Devin Booker would be wise, especially in exchange for a player who hasn't been with the team this season.

K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports doesn't think the Bulls are eager to part with White, however:

"The Bulls value White. They've rejected offers for him in the past. He's certainly available for the right move, but it's clear at this point that the Bulls won't give him away. For starters, they need his shooting. The team doesn't have much of it. Secondly, White is a team player who has accepted whatever changing role has been thrown his way. And his defense and ball-handling both are noticeably improved this season. Coach Billy Donovan pointed to White's improvement in screen navigation before the Indiana Pacers' road game."

So this one might not go anywhere. But both Crowder and White are players worth monitoring ahead of the deadline.
