An investigation is underway after a fire broke out at a downtown Reno apartment complex Monday morning.

The fire happened at 63 High Street just before 9:30 a.m. on January 30.

The Reno Fire Department said the fire started between the first and second floors of the apartment complex but was quickly knocked down.

The Red Cross of Northern Nevada staff and volunteers responded to the fire and are ensuring all residents impacted by the fire have a safe place to sleep and have food, clothing and other necessary personal care items.

The cause is under investigation and no one was injured.
