Police say a belligerent man spit and kicked two Pennsylvania State Troopers while in custody over the weekend in Pike County.
Pennsylvania State Police were called to 6 West Bar and Grill around 11:30 PM Saturday night.
According to police, 32-year-old Christopher Garavaglia of Lake Ariel was encountered by troopers in the parking lot, failed to comply to verbal commands, and fought with them.
Garavaglia was taken into custody and while being transported began to spit at the troopers in the vehicle as they drove.
The Troopers had to pull over and place a spit hood on Garavaglia.
Garavaglia managed to free himself from his seatbelt and began kicking both troopers in the head while driving.
Garavaglia was still non-compliant and uncooperative and had to be removed forcibly from the vehicle after arriving at the State Police Barracks.
He has been charged with aggravated assault and other related charges.
Garavaglia has been remanded to Pike County Correction Facility on $200,000 bail.
