DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The man rushed to Delray Medical Center last week with a neck laceration after being found unconscious on the tennis courts in the West Delray Beach community of Seven Bridges had blood on his hands and was covered in “white powder,” according to a report obtained by BocaNewsNow.com.

BocaNewsNow.com first reported on the incident Friday morning, leading to a swift denial from the community’s new board of directors. However, multiple sources and official records reveal that our reporting was completely correct — a 47-year-old male was found unconscious, with a neck wound, on the community’s tennis courts around 1 a.m. Wednesday.

What we did not know at the time is that the man was apparently covered in “white powder,” according to official details provided to BocaNewsNow.com, which was also told that police are investigating the incident as a potential “overdose.” It was unclear what drugs — if any — the man may have ingested, where they were obtained, or whether surveillance video shows drug distribution or consumption on the Seven Bridges clubhouse property.

According to official records, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and Palm Beach County Fire Rescue were both dispatched to Seven Bridges around 1:10 Wednesday morning. A security guard found the man, “At the clubhouse by the tennis pro shop.” The man was described as “a white male sitting on the couch unable to wake up.” The security guard told a 911 dispatcher that he “kicked the chair multiple times and the man is not responding. The male is breathing and has blood on his hands.”

Responding deputies and medics noted that the man, “is slouched over, has no injuries other than the blood seen,” and, “has white powdery substance on (his) pants.” However, once the man was awoken, he apparently turned his head and revealed a large gash to his neck. Sources tell BocaNewsNow.com that a “significant” amount of blood was lost, and that multiple cushions on the couch where he was found had to be discarded. It was unclear if the blood came from the neck wound or another injury. The source of the blood on his hands was not clear. There is no evidence of a “criminal” investigation related to this incident.

The man, whose identity we have obtained, is a 47-year-old white male who lives in the 16300 block of Cabernet Drive. He also apparently has a relationship to a White Tesla found at the scene. The man was transported to Delray Medical Center, the region’s trauma center. His condition is unknown Monday afternoon.
