Police investigating homicide after 1 killed, 2 burned in Stockton complex fire

(KTXL) — One person was killed and two more were injured Monday morning in a fire investigators believe could be arson, the Stockton Fire Department said.

According to the Stockton Police Department, firefighters located a 60-year-old woman inside who was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 60-year-old man and a 2-year-old boy were taken to a local hospital where they received treatment for non-life-threatening burns, according to the police department.

The fire department said the fire was reported around 5:17 a.m. at a single-story triplex on Bancroft Way and all three of the victims were from the same unit.

According to police, Stockton Fire Arson Investigators believe that the fire was intentional and that the incident is now a homicide investigation.
