BMC Launches New World Cup XC Team
BMC has launched its new Team BMC World Cup XC team for 2023.
The new factory team from BMC features Steffi Häberlin, Jordan Sarrou, Titouan Carod, Juri Zanotti and Janis Baumann in its ranks. The updated 2023 BMC team brings on new sponsors for the upcoming season with Öhlins suspension and Pirelli tires.

The fresh BMC team is set to get between the tape for the first time at what is becoming a mini World Cup in Banyoles, Spain before the actual World Cup begins at Nove Mesto in May.

I also noticed that the Team is sponsored by BOSS (as in Hugo Boss looking at the font) which mean that team should be pretty stylish away from their bike, It also means that some teams are able to go get sponsors away from the industry again which is a good thing for the sport. From recent memory the only team that managed it lately has been the Dorval Commencal team whose title sponsor (Dorval AM) is not connected to the industry (they are asset management firm so they may own a bit of Commencal though) .
The Absolute Absalon team was the BMC team until last year when things completely unravaled and Julien Absalon decided to step away. BMC decided to bring it entirely in house after what was rumored to be a bit of a shitshow behind the scene (PFP did literally not even use the BMC pits at WC last year). They lost or let go P. Colombo, M. Azzaro, PFP and only retained T.Carod who had a crazy strong end of season last year.
