Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval: I Deserved to Get Called Out by Chiefs' Travis Kelce

After Sunday's win over the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship Game, Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce trolled Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval for his comments earlier in the week, and Pureval took it in stride.

Kelce declared in his postgame speech, "I got some wise words for that Cincinnati mayor: know your role and shut your mouth, you jabroni." Pureval responded on Twitter, writing, "Yeah. Deserved that. Congrats to KC on a well-fought win, and good luck in Arizona. Proud of our fans and our @bengals for the energy all year. Who Dey!"

Pureval posted a viral video on Friday in which he referred to Arrowhead Stadium as "Burrowhead" after Bengals star quarterback Joe Burrow. He also took more shots at the Chiefs.

"Whereas Joseph Lee Burrow, who's 3-0 against (Chiefs quarterback Patrick) Mahomes, has been asked by officials to take a paternity test to [confirm] whether or not he's his father ... and whereas Kansas City is named after its neighboring state which is, you know, just kind of weird," he said.

Pureval later apologized for his remarks after facing backlash from Bengals fans.

Cincinnati fell 23-20 on Sunday on a last-second field goal by Kansas City kicker Harrison Butker.
