Baltimore Police have identified the man shot and killed in North Baltimore on Saturday, January 28, 2023.
42-year-old Marcus Aslup was killed in the 4800 block of Kimberleigh Road.
Police responded to reports of a shooting just before 10:30 that night. That's when they found Aslup, according to police. Police said he was pronounced dead at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Baltimore Police say they are continuing to identify family members in the shooting that happened in the 1700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue. The shooting and car crash left two children injured.
So far this year, Baltimore Police say there have been 25 homicides in Baltimore. At this time last year, police say there had been 34 homicides.
At this point last year, police say there had been 54 nonfatal shootings in Baltimore. So far in 2023, there have been 40 nonfatal shootings in Baltimore, according to police.
